Under the patronage and presence of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC) celebrated the official opening of the administrative building of Al-Zour Refinery, on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by His Highness, which was held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at AL Zour refinery’s administrative building. It is considered an important historical occasion, as KIPIC was the first oil company chosen to host this exceptional meeting.
The administrative building of Al-Zour Refinery is a distinctive architectural masterpiece in the heart of Al-Zour Oil Complex. The building consists of seven floors with a view of the units of Al-Zour projects, and includes a theater of international standards, a service center, multi-purpose hall, and a fully equipped health club.
KIPIC was keen to take into account all environmental requirements in the design of the building to comply with the requirements of green buildings, in addition to implementing the (Zero Water Waste) project to recycle all used water in order to preserve the environment.
It is worth noting that the main administration building of the Al-Zour Refinery has obtained a two-star evaluation certificate in the category of new buildings under construction, after the building successfully passed the requirements of the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) from the Gulf Organization for Research and Development (GORD).
KIPIC was launched on May 1st 2017 and is responsible for operating and managing refining, liquefied natural gas, and petrochemicals activities of Al-Zour complex. This consists of a total of six Al-Zour locations
